NEMO Systems

The data your vessels already produce, finally working for you.

Helping yachts and the maritime industry unlock onboard data — to cut costs and meet tomorrow’s standards.

Industry context

110,000+ vessels worldwide. Responsible for 3% of global GHG emissions. Almost none collect the operational data they actually own — and use at their potential.

We are here to change that.

What NEMO does

Three shifts in how vessels are run.

01

Owners regain control

One unified view of fragmented vessel data — in the hands of those who pay the bill.

02

Costs cut where they hide

Fuel, energy and propulsion signals turned into clear, recoverable savings.

03

Certifications built on reality

Live, third-party-verified data feeding tomorrow’s environmental standards.

Hardware that creates the data. Software that makes it speak. Advisory that turns it into decisions.

Our product

A non-invasive device. A live platform. One architecture.

Our wireless datalogger installs in hours on any existing vessel. No rewiring, no shipyard intervention. Paired with a cloud platform that owners, captains and fleet managers actually use.

Why now

Three forces converge on the same answer.

01

Energy waste is no longer affordable

Energy prices, port fees and charter premiums are rising. Without data, owners pay blind.

02

Regulation is here

IMO Net-Zero, FuelEU Maritime, EU ETS. Vessels that can’t measure today won’t comply tomorrow.

03

The technology is ready

Wireless IoT, edge computing, modern data infrastructure — what required a lab five years ago is now deployable at scale.

First commercial partnership

“Our first commercial partnership is with SEA Index — the leading environmental certification for superyachts. They put NEMO at the centre of the data infrastructure behind tomorrow’s environmental ratings.”

About

The data layer the maritime industry has been missing.

We build it.

The project

From the racing world to the maritime industry.

NEMO Systems was born from a simple observation: modern vessels generate streams of operational data every day, but almost none of it is used to its potential. Owners depend on fragmented external providers to read their own boats, regulators wait for evidence that doesn’t exist, and certifications still rate vessels on paper specs.

We started building NEMO in mid-2025 from the racing world — where data and performance meet — and are now extending the technology to yachts, shipyards, and the broader maritime ecosystem. Our company was formally incorporated in April 2026, in Switzerland.

We are anchored in the Monaco maritime ecosystem, with active partnerships with the Yacht Club de Monaco and SEA Index, and rooted in the Swiss innovation ecosystem through EPFL.

Our mission

“To turn the operational data vessels already produce into measurable savings, anticipated compliance, and credible environmental certifications — building the data layer the maritime industry has been missing.”

Products & Services

One architecture. Built to evolve with the use case.

From racing telemetry to yacht energy monitoring and beyond. Modular hardware, a cloud platform, and an advisory layer — under one roof.

Racing datalogger + Race visualisation platform

Built for the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, deployed across 40 boats in real racing conditions. The accompanying platform lets organisers define the course, track vessels in real time with high-precision GPS, simulate the race, and monitor efficiency data live.

  • Wireless plug-and-play
  • High-precision GPS tracking
  • Energy and propulsion monitoring
  • Live race visualisation

Foundation for the yachting and maritime extensions.

Active R&D SEA Index

Yachting datalogger + Energy management platform

Same architecture, extended for yachts. Continuous monitoring, non-invasive installation, deeper integration with onboard systems. The energy management platform turns operational signals into clear indicators for owners, captains and fleet managers — fuel consumption, energy waste, performance over time. Designed to feed environmental certifications with live, third-party-verified data.

  • Non-invasive installation, installs in hours
  • Continuous monitoring of fuel, energy and propulsion
  • Owner-controlled data, GDPR-compliant by design
  • Direct integration with SEA Index certifications

Services

Advisory & strategic support

Beyond the data, we help owners and fleet managers make decisions. Periodic reports, fleet performance reviews, consumption optimisation recommendations, and ad-hoc consulting — included or available depending on the offering.

Annual fleet performance review

Year-on-year benchmarks across your vessels.

Consumption optimisation

Where the savings are, and how to capture them.

Predictive maintenance

Modules on the 2027 roadmap.

Custom reporting

Tailored views for boards, banks, certifiers.

Further upcoming developments

The vessel is the object. Its ecosystem is what comes next.

NEMO is built to extend beyond the boat — to shipyards, buoys, ports, and the broader maritime chain. Same architecture, same platform, new use cases.

Shipyards — data from day one

Integration of NEMO at the vessel design phase. Shipyards can offer their clients a continuous data layer from the boat’s first launch, opening new after-sales relationships and certification-ready deliveries.

Smart buoys — the ecosystem’s missing sensors

As Marine Protected Areas and Natura 2000 zones expand, the demand for environmental monitoring at sea grows. NEMO’s architecture extends to smart buoys — measuring underwater noise, water quality, vessel passages — feeding the same platform.

Ports & marinas — connected harbours

Energy delivery at the quay, vehicle-to-grid integration, automated billing, real-time monitoring of port operations. The maritime data layer extends to the moment vessels reach shore.

Commercial maritime — beyond yachting

Service vessels, freight, passenger transport. The same hardware, software and advisory chain applies, with regulatory pressure even higher than yachting. Active scoping for 2027 onwards.

One architecture. From boat to port to buoys. Built to become the maritime data layer.

See if NEMO fits your vessels.
